Os Segredos da Seita do Yoga
Um guru, um movimento de yoga com milhares de seguidores em todo o mundo, promessas de evolução espiritual que acabam em acusações de exploração sexual e tráfico humano. E tudo passou também por Lisboa. Este podcast é o resultado de uma investigação jornalística sobre a ascensão e queda de Gregorian Bivolaru. Ao longo de várias décadas, e sob a fachada aparentemente inocente de uma rede de escolas de yoga, “Grieg”, como é conhecido entre os seus seguidores, comandou uma seita que prometia desenvolvimento pessoal, espiritualidade e amor. Mas acabou como um dos homens mais procurados pela polícia internacional, viveu vários anos na clandestinidade e está neste momento preso em França a aguardar julgamento por exploração sexual, laboral e psicológica. É também a história de como um grupo de portuguesas seguiu essa promessa de evolução espiritual, caiu no abismo e empreendeu uma jornada de libertação. Para todas, o ponto de entrada foi uma escola de yoga em Lisboa. Muitas acabaram a participar em sites pornográficos e encontros que envolviam orgias. As mulheres e os homens entrevistados para este Podcast Plus revelam toda a experiência que passaram durante os anos em que viveram na seita. Desde o encantamento inicial da promessa de encontrarem um sentido para a vida através da espiritualidade, ao pesadelo de perceberem que estavam, afinal, dentro de uma “prisão invisível”. E contam também como e quando começaram a juntar os pontos e perceberam que faziam parte de um culto. Tudo, garantem, para que mais nenhuma mulher ou homem tenha de passar pelo mesmo. And it all went through Lisboa too. This podcast is the result of a journalistic investigation into the rise and fall of Gregorian Bivolaru. Over several decades, and under the seemingly innocent facade of a network of yoga schools, “Grieg,” as he is known among his followers, ran a cult that promised personal development, spirituality and love. But he ended up as one of the men most wanted by international police, lived for several years in hiding and is currently imprisoned in França awaiting trial for sexual, labor and psychological exploitation. It is also the story of how a group of Portuguese women followed that promise of spiritual evolution, fell into the abyss and embarked on a journey of liberation. For all of them, the entry point was a yoga school in Lisboa. Many ended up taking part in pornographic websites and gatherings that involved orgies. The women and men interviewed for this Podcast Plus reveal the full experience they went through during the years they lived in the cult. From the initial enchantment of the promise of finding meaning in life through spirituality, to the nightmare of realizing they were, after all, inside an “invisible prison.” And they also tell how and when they began to connect the dots and realized they were part of a cult. All of it, they assure, so that no other woman or man has to go through the same thing. All the entities targeted by this investigation were contacted.
