AboutNachrichtenleicht is Deutschlandfunk's news in simple German, about five minutes a day from Monday to Friday. Each episode explains the day's stories — parties and government, climate and energy, the Middle East, Ukraine and Russia, football — in short sentences and plain words. It is made for people who find ordinary news broadcasts hard to follow, which also makes it the gentlest thing here for somebody learning the language.
