#552 - Olympic “Last Supper” Riles Up Conservatives & Lim Tean Rants About Child on NDP Poster
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics has outraged conservatives around the world, with an apparent depiction of da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting featuring drag queens. The organisers have clarified that the performance wasn’t actually based on da Vinci’s painting, but religious groups and far right commentators are still calling for a boycott. Is the outrage warranted? Closer to home, politician Lim Tean recently posted a rant about an NDP poster featuring a 10-year-old child, and linked it to problems with Singapore’s immigration policies. Some have called out Lim Tean for his xenophobia and cyberbullying, but is there any merit to his complaints?
