In 2014, a 15-year old went to the grocery store with her father. It was her parents’ 17th wedding anniversary - but her mother was recovering at home from a hernia operation she’d had the day before, so the teenager and her father went to pick out a cake and bring flowers back to her. But what they would be confronted with when they returned, would change their lives forever.
